OUR CLIENT
Our client is in the extractive industry in Ghana.

JOB PURPOSE
Work collaboratively within the Corporate Development team to prepare first-class presentations to support senior management and business leadership decision-making.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY:

SUPPORT TRANSACTIONS
• Support all aspects of transaction execution and deal closing over the transaction lifecycle (from pre- through post-closing), including executing due diligence, business valuation, investment analysis, risk assessment and integration planning.
• Perform detailed financial analysis for strategic partnerships and other debt negotiations
• Assist in performing comprehensive valuation analysis and making recommendations to senior team members and management
• Assist in analysis and execution of various capital markets initiatives, including potential equity and debt transactions
• Perform financial modeling and analysis of acquisition targets, including financial statement analysis, NPV, and discounted cash flow analysis etc.
• Support the management of work efforts with relevant functions such as Technical, Legal, Projects etc.

RESEARCH AND ANALYSIS
• Analyze market and internal data to identify trends/opportunities, develop strategic options based on the insights synthesized from the data analyzed, create compelling presentations identifying the key business implications and recommendations.
• Provide and deliver strategic data analysis, insights, recommendations and presentations to senior leadership and functional teams.
• Maintain report forms, formats, information dashboards, data generators reports and other resources.
• Create specifications for reports and analysis based on business needs and data elements.
• Update data from multiple sources on a regular basis to provide information to management to make strategic business decisions.
• Monitor analyst reports and summarizes them for senior management.

SUPPORT AND STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS
• Support the identification and evaluation of new business development opportunities by providing rigorous fact-based analysis and synthesizing insights into actionable strategic recommendations
• Conduct detailed due diligence on potential strategic growth opportunities, and present findings, potential risks, and investment thesis to the Director of Strategy & Corporate Development
• Research, track, analyze M&A and capital markets activity relevant to the organization

WORK EXPERIENCE
5-6 years’ work experience — demonstrable skills in market research, business analysis, financial modeling
